You guys are arguing this very strangely.
I am a huge gay rights person and have tons of gay friends and have been involved in gay culture including going to pride, etc, for years. And yet, I don't believe that people are "born" gay or that there is a gay gene. I believe it's a combination of genetic predisposition and environment (the way you grew up and the culture/family values/etc) that makes someone gay. Of course people don't choose to be gay, but don't take this to mean that they must be born that way. The "It's genetic/it's a choice" binary way that most people seem to be looking at it is a false dichotomy. They are not born that way, and it's not a choice. Nobody has found a gay "gene". Show me where. And nobody is giving very good arguments as for why being gay MUST be innate and can't possibly be bred into someone through the things they are exposed to and the way they are treated growing up.
