Default Catan DIY

I spent 4 hours in front of a table saw, making 60 and 120 degree cuts to make the hexagons, and then more cutting for all the game pieces. I ended up with 174 pieces (plus a few extras for replacements.)

Everything was painted with primer, let to dry, and then the back was done with primer. Then front and back with the paint colors, and then the same with the clear coat protection layer. That is right, every single piece was painted 6 times. There were 120 game pieces, 26 miscellaneous pieces, 25 hexagons (which also needed the scene painted on them), and 2 the two main ocean pieces, and 2 small ocean extension pieces.

The extra 6 Hexagons and 2 ocean extensions make it so I can play with 5 players, instead of the usual 4, which has been tested and approved by those who have played with 5 players.

The only things I didn't make were the cards, and the dice. (I am thinking of making a box to hold it all, instead of the duffel bag it is in right now.)

So... does anyone play 'Settlers of Catan'?
