Hey all
Wasn't sure where to put this (again) but thought it would be most useful here as it is related to noobs. So i have been pondering the last few days on what eactly is a noob (yes i lead a very sad and lonely life). Everyone knows that you are definitly a noob for the first few days you are on FFR, but what happens after that? There are so many ways of looking at it. Some people think that if you have been playing FFR for a long time but never used forums and then decided to start posting messages, you are a noob, some may not think so. There are no clear cut ways of telling if you are still a noob or not. Maybe some people stay noobs forever because they don't really get to know people on the site and so don't feel they are part of the community as such. The way i see it there are so many different ways of deciding if you are a noob or not... like the number of posts you have, or the level of difficulty you can play in FFR. Maybe it is a personal thing and you are only a noob as long as you feel like one. But i think the most likely option is that you are a noob to begin with, when you first introduce yourself and then for a while you stay pretty quiet and unseen, just putting in a quick comment here and there, until finally you start to be recognised by people and have pretty decent competitive scores in FFR at which point you are pretty much an old timer. That only leaves the problem of what is in the middle. Maybe I'm just thinking too much into it. But would love to know what others think on the noob subject. On second thoughts maybe this should have gone in the critical thinking forum... but it isn't very critical thinking really and as i still consider myself a noob i feel that i have the right to post stuff in the noob forum (especially seeing as it is about noobs !!)
