Did xbox live freeze my account?

I use xbox live, and one day, I sign in and my account is messed up. It says I have no games, no achievements, no avatar, no gamer picture, and no profile or motto. Xbox live is still fully functional, I can still join parties send and receive messages.. I can't get any achievements anymore, I'm not sure if I can download anything I haven't tried. I asked a few friends and they said this means they froze my account. I think this makes no sense because, if I did a punishable act, wouldn't they just ban me? I went on the official xbox site and I couldn't find any problems like this in the support section. Can someone tell me what's going on?
