100x better, but more boring

I have always played 1.50x speed, I guess this is why I'm so good at mashing through most songs lol, so to fix this I'm trying to work on normal speed with the half screen thing. I like the half screen cause it takes the pressure off "good!,boo!" etc but I find slow kind of boring over all.

Is there another way to practice becoming less of a masher, advice besides playing 23 hours a day? because I'm already playing a lot recently.
