Okay, why are people complaining about what division they are currently placed at? DM, if you really couldn't get less than 20 goods on Piano X Forte, then doesn't that mean that you should just accept getting eliminated at that point? It shouldn't even matter that you quit since last October, you're ranked 15 out of everyone in FFR, and it's not like you haven't been playing Stepmania since last October either (unless you really haven't, in which case I can understand what you're saying).
I am placed a little over 5,000 overall and now I am in the same division as someone in the top 20. Yes, I've only played a little over 1,000 games, and no I don't want to be moved down to a lower division, again (I was previously in Expert before the tourny began, which I have no idea why that happened since I have no credentials for it), but honestly if you can't do a song well enough to pass a round, then just except it and build up on any skill you've lost, because chances are you'll be just as good as you were if not better in a month or so of practicing. Trust me, I've been through that as well. Anyway, I'm not saying that DM should stay in Expert, but I just wanted to give my 2 cents on how the division placement could be improved in the future, because some things have obviously gone wrong at one point or another and there are large margins of skill not only between divisions, but even within each division. A suggestion for the future would be another division, so that there are six, but I can see how it would be hard to divide people even further and collect enough credits to award all the winners. It doesn't seem like tournies will ever get much more fair than they are already, but I do hope there is some way to make division placement better for everyone to be satisfied with. I'm done now. ![]() |
