Last week I went to a cube competition and set an official world record for solving the 7x7x7 cube as fast as possible. By 'official world record' I mean that the World Cube Association recognized it, and that it was done at a competition with a judge making sure I didn't cheat - you can't just sit in your room and take a time by yourself
![]() I actually got the record for both the single solve (4 minutes 16.47 seconds) and the mean of 3 solves (4 minutes 31.26 seconds). There's a video of the fastest solve I did here - it's not too high quality, unfortunately, you can't really see what I'm doing very well.
