This is for all the musicians out there.
Every year, in Michigan, my school goes to a "competition" called Solo and Esemble. All you do is you prepare a solo on your instrument and play it before a judge. The judge then gives you a rating based on your performance. The rating system is as follows: 1, being the best, through 5, being the worst. There is also a time limit. I believe you have to play at least two minutes. This year I am doing a solo called Rondo Capriccio, a trumpet solo. It is written by Keith Snell. I am also doing a trio with three other trumpets in my band. I was wondering if any other musicians in Southeast Michigan have gone to Solo and Esemble, or some other "competition" of the sort? |
