50k credit logo design contest!

Hello everyone,

I am announcing the start of a contest to design a logo that I would like to use for a sports team I'm heading that I'd like to use for a t-shirt. The contest will run from today until Tuesday August 5th 12:00PM EST. Entries must be submitted in the thread. Any questions are to be sent via PM. The credits will be awarded to the winning entry. Prizes may be given to 2nd and 3rd place (as I decide) as well.

Contest Details

-The logo must be of a depiction of the mythical creature Chimera. (If you do not know what a Chimera is, google it)

-All art mediums are accepted, but for the purposes of the t-shirt design, digital may be best.

- I would prefer that the image you submit is just the creature, or against a solid black background.

- I'd prefer for the Chimera to have two heads; a lion and another creature (eagle, dragon etc.; be creative ), the body of a lion, and the tail with a serpent. (I say this because I know there are different interpretations of the creature depending on culture)

- I'd prefer for image size to be around 500x 500 pixels (bigger is better in case I have to shrink down, I still keep quality)

- The work you submit MUST BE YOUR OWN. Artistic plagerism will not be tolerated.

And above all else:

-Try your best. Even if you do not think that you are a Picasso, at the very least you'll get to try and improve your artistic talents.

Note: This is a good example of the body structure I would like, but the Chimera's a bit too calm in this picture. I'm going for a proud standing look.



Note: Fantastic digital imagery. This is one example of a stance that I would like to use, if only not for the lack of lighting on the other two creatures.
