Today Has Been the Best Day Ever.

I've come to realize exactly how far I've come. When I started, I didn't think I'd ever PASS songs at 9+, thinking they were impossible. Not only that, I thought it was impossible to AAA even Free Space. I remember seeing a video of somebody AAA'ing The Epidemic of Unexpected Relapses, and my gut sank, as I realized that I could never hope to get that good...or so I thought. Now, when I look back, I've improved more than I ever thought I would, and it's only spurred me on to continue playing one handed.

So I decided to try Mirror Mode today. I suck at a lot of songs, like HELLBEAT, Dazzling Soul, and various other songs I hadn't FC'ed. I have used it once before to get Colossus, since I have 94162 mental blocks on that song. It worked very well, needless to say. And, I'll probably end up playing that way a lot more from now on, seeing how it's helped me so much.

First token of the day. This song can go to hell. I don't understand how anybody can AAA those random, offbeat patterns. Even with mirror mode this took like 10 something tries. My best is 2 misses (on non-mirror mode)...but I had like 40 boos. xD


Second token of today. Dazzling Soul has historically been one of my worst Challenging songs. However, I read patterns in such a way that reversing arrow patterns can mean the difference between missing left and right and FC'ing (Why, I have no clue....) Still took a few tries though.


And here is my third token. While I am a cheapass for using autofail, I only got 6-1-0-1 on this, so it'd be pretty easy to do without it (this token is one of those that evade me constantly however, so I didn't want to take any chances).


I hate this file. That last offbeat part can suck my dick, really. I love the 1000 rank jump though. ^_^


Long overdue. The patterns in this file always made me miss/boo randomly, so I'm glad to have gotten it (the miss was random though....sucks, that would have made a large rank jump too )


And finally, today's last token (so far, hehe). I got 4-2-0-2 on this, with one of the averages and two of the goods being at the very end (I really suck at slow jumpstream, I usually miss on them for some reason....) Could definitely improve. But, I finally have all the original 10 skill tokens, and thanks to the way it was coded, I still got it despite it not being a clean run.





I still can't FC R3 though; that file sucks ass, and it's bleh patterns make me miss randomly, even though I average 665 perfects on that song.

72 STs total...I made a goal to reach 50 back in January, didn't think I'd ever do it. Now look where I am at.
