Default not internet, Internet.

I was writing up a little paper in microsoft word, and I cam across something that kinda freaked me out. Internet was underlined in green, meaning that it had incorrect grammar. It told me that it wasn't internet, but Internet.

Since when did this happen. I never knew tht it was supposed to be capitilized. I mean, it's not really a noun is it? Who made it that way?

When you think about it, the 'Internet' is theoretical. There isn't one place called "The internet". It is just a bunch of computers linked together.

What is your opinion on internet being capitilized
