~ added for cuteness

I'd appreciate if somebody could help clear up why ridiculously offsync stepfiles sontribute toward average rank, while skill token and token songs do not.
When I started playing, I played a few easy/standard/tricky songs, and then went to difficult and up. There was no penalty for not playing the easier songs. But now after the average rank statistic has been installed, there is. So, over the last few days I've been going back and playing some of the songs I never before had played. I made a few AAA's on some of the more on-beat ones, but I'd say the majority of them are not AAA-able unless you know when and where the off-syncness is... which, in my mind, is unfair and unenjoyable. You shouldn't have to turn off your speakers for a rythym game. Ok, so I guess this turned into a mini-rant. I do appreciate the free-ness of FFR and I am not trying to offend any mods in charge of syncing songs. You guys rock. I just don't like the fact that these offsync songs contribute toward average rank, and if somebody could clear up why this is so, i'd be grateful. |
