Now, I'm not saying it's morally wrong to eat meat. But just because everybody does it doesn't mean it's right. And even with meat being a fine thing to eat, it's not all about the eating - animals need to be killed before they are eaten. And every animal that is killed for food is killed in a certain way. I don't agree with the practices. So I prefer to get meat from the amish and from places that I know are humane in their killing. (Yes I was a vegetarian. No I'm not anymore. This is old news.) Also, I don't think he should have gotten such a long sentence. Yeah, okay, he was bad to some animals, and that's bad. But the thing is, he seemed mostly remorseful. He seemed sorry much of the way through. To punish him just because he ****ed up a few times when he should have been telling the truth? It's human nature to try to defend our actions. It takes a lot of courage to overcome that defending. He was just doing what's natural. It doesn't mean he's not remorseful. And the drugs thing has to make me laugh. I'm sure pot doesn't have anything to do with killing animals. In fact, if he smoked a bit MORE pot, he might have refrained from animal torture in the first place. I can't imagine anyone killing and torturing a living being while high.
