The hacker could be a banned user seeking revenge. At first it may not be apparent what the goal of the RPG is, and you just wander around talking. Then, you here that a banned user has avoided the IP ban and snuck into FFR. You catch them and run them out of FFR, which angers them. Then, while on some random side quest, he'll randomly attack you. He'll be insanely powerful, and you will assuredly die. When your party is defeated, it's not game over.
You'll wake up in a cave, hidden somewhere in the internet. The banned guy threw you into a pit to keep you from interfering with his plot to take over FFR. You must escape the bowels of the internet and make your way back to FFR to warn people of what will happen. Unfortunately, you arrive too late. You go into FFR and find chaos. The website will be burning down from all the flaming and newbs being idiots. You go to your PM box (a mailbox in the town) and find a PM from Synthlight. He says how the banned person put a virus on his computer and he only had enough time to send this PM. He asks for your help because you stopped the guy before. Synth suggests that you assemble a team of l33t fighters to help. This is where you visit all of the world map and meet all sorts of people. You can choose to go on many little side quests to unlock them as playable characters, and you assemble a great team. After you get the team you'll be ready to go face the banned user and restore FFR to its original greatness. How you'll go about doing this, you ask? I have no fudgin' clue. Somebody gimme an idea or how to stop the banned user/hacker. Oh, and who would be crazy enough to pull something like this? I wasn't here back when the now-banned people were, so I'm not sure who the badguy should be.

So I've gone completely slack-ass and haven't done any work on creating games. =( In less-depressing news, I got a job for an online business (which sells non-electronic games, of all things!) which has taught me a lot about marketing online and all that jazz. So now I'm on Twitter @NoahWright. And I write the blog for their website. Plus I do cool programming in-house that you'll never see. =O |
