If this has come up already recently, forgive and ignore this topic, I havn't been able to post in a while.
I'm kind of sick of the barrage of First Person Shooters lately, video games these days really don't have "the stuff" old ones did. It's not just that there were "vintage" or whatever, there have been really good games for current systems, and even some FPS's that i enjoy, but the old games were just AWESOME. I mean look at Metal Storm for the NES; You're in a gunner robot, just shooting the crap out of other robots (who are obvioiusly evil and need to be destroyed). You have a number of abilities in this game. You can jump, shoot lasers (of varying types depending on your upgrade) and FLIP UPSIDE DOWN. How cool is that, i mean, you can just be like "hey guess what floor, I'm too good for you" and the floor is like "too bad, I've got gravity on my side" and you just smile and simply say "not anymore" and press the reverse gravity button. There are WAY too many plain bad games as of late, and i'm getting sick of it. Does anyone agree? |
