Upcoming Unofficial Tournament!

I need some good tips on running an Unofficial Tournament from past tournament holders.

Some things I am wondering about are how to set divisions, level difficulties and avoid trainer abuse.

For this tournament it will probably only be for Beginner to Intermediate for 20,000 to 30,000 credits for grand prizewinners. The only reason I want it to be for Beginner to Intermediate is because people who are advanced levels+ already have more than enough credits. So if I could get some good tips on running a tournament it would be greatly appreciated.
