What's wrong with me?

I can beat For FFR.
I can beat Uber Rave.
I can beat Chrono Trigger.
I can beat pretty much (almost) all the songs in FFR, save for some classical songs.

The thing is, I have trouble FCing songs like mega man, sonic2, or massive. It's like, I'm good at beating songs, but other than that I can't do much. I always seem to wind up finishing the easier songs (less than 8-9 in difficulty) with 20-30+ boos taht I have no idea where they came from.

How can I fix this? Just practice? It doesn't make sense that I'd have so much trouble w/ the easy songs when I can beat most of the hard ones.
