Reverend Joe Somebody?

A high school friend of mine(15 Years Old) says he wants to obtain the title of "Reverend" so it can appear on his report card. Because the title is more of a style than an actual title, I'm not sure about how one would attain such a "title". Now, he's not doing this to go against the word of god or to be very disrespectful.

My belief is that it may be somewhat disrespectful, but he's not preaching the word of atheism and may actually be serious about it.

Does anyone have an opinion on this or know how to obtain the "Title" of Reverend legally?
