An interesting area in the magazine Popular Science mentions the possibility of people seeing colors that we can't see... normally
.Underneath the human eye, there are three types of cone cells. One type can detect red, the other green, and the third blue. Although there have been reports of people born with four types of cone cells, they have not been verified as far as I know. However, scientists are trying to come up with ideas for humans to see more colors with four or even more types of cone cells, using, of course, technology and surgery. I don't remember which issue that was from, so don't ask .Gosh, that would be cool if we can see some colors in which only some animals can see. On the other hand, it could permanently damage the human's original way of seeing things .What do you think? |
