Australian eccentric conceptual artist Mervyn E. Skilton, has undertaken the World's biggest online record ever attempted. With 4,158,571 page visits to view his World record attempt. Mr Skilton's attempt is well underway to his target of 200,000,000 page visits ,a record never before attempted or achieved of this size, all in the name of art and welfare, to help build a powerful platform with high traffic to soon launch the art of the battling artists to the World, such as painters and musicians, to help support themselves working at their craft fulltime, so they can live their vision rather than retreat from their artistic dreams.

Mervyn Skilton's big picture in the building of such a media profile with his "Big Merv" persona, is to educate the people of the World about art, music, animal welfare and beer, and to also help save his marriage, by making a commitment as big and public as this World record attempt, to his wife Shirley Skilton, which began as a bet during their separation, to rectify his past wayward ways.

Big Merv says, "You must keep your dream alive, no matter what your dream is, just bloody well do it if ya want it!". merv's original dream was beer and bourbon, and he lived his dream to the full extent, until the bourbon got the better of him. Nowadays Big Merv follows his dreams of helping the less fortunate people and animals, as he was exactly that many years ago with his troubled past. Merv also says, "if I can do it, so can you, just get of ya backside now ya lazy bastard, and take the first steps towards your dream. If you are lying in bed right now dreaming of a beer, get up of ya fat ass and make ya first few steps towards the fridge, that bloody beer ain't gunna come walking over to you!.. dream it, do it!"
