Got this off of the "Worst Fear" thread in chit chat (only read the first few posts :P)
Now, we all know what fear is, or at least feels like. We've all felt it. Or at least I'm pretty sure. :P But, what I think is that all fear leads down to the fear of death. For example, being claustrophobic would be being afraid of the walls closing in on you, and eventually squishing you to death. Spiders, being that you would get bitten by one and get poisoned and die, etc. etc. So, all fear leads to the fear of death. But wait, what about parents that are scared of their children being killed (bitten, ran over by car, drown, etc. etc.)? It's the instinct to continue the species. All animals have it. It's natural for a parent to be worried about their kid because it's biological. The parent(not knowing it of course) feels they need to continue the species. Post your thoughts. |
