If you live around the Pittsburgh area you would know of this story…

The driver was under the influence of drugs at the time, as she tried to jump a 60-foot hill and make it to the other side in her SUV, while she had 4 other passengers in the car. Three lived, the girl in the passenger seat (she was 15 years old), the girl behind the passenger (14), and the girl in the middle in the backseat (16) lived also. These 3 lived, the other two lost there lives that night, the driver (17) and Karisa Marie Samuels (16) was in the back-seat as her friend tried to jump this hill. Karisa was cool, I had just met her the Wednesday before at youth group.
So as you ask why are drugs illegal, think of all the parents that lost there kids in the many accidents that have happened, think of the boyfriends/girlfriends that have lost someone very very important in there life in just one instant, think of the grandparents, the brothers and sisters, but most importantly think of the people that have lost there lives because someone else made a wrong choice, or because they were under the influence. Once you think about all of that, can you honestly say they are not hurting anyone else but themselves? If you can, I really don’t know what pretend world you are living in…
