Default Hand Setup in FFR

im just tired of seeing 5 million threads based on what hand setup they should play. so here it goes:

there are many types of setups, but four are most common.

SPREAD - 4 fingers, commonly two on each hand (middle and index fingers)

INDEX - 2 fingers, commonly one on each hand (index fingers)

SPREAD 2 (explained later)

ONE HAND - three fingers from one hand are played

Lets start with Index. For FFR you can play with index fingers, which increases speed and accuracy, but is not great for most of the songs that are now released for FFR. Index enables you to truly simulate DDR, because your two fingers represent two legs and feet. However FFR wasnt meant as a complete DDR simulator, so some songs have awkward steps you cannot accomplish with index.

Spread. This is when you put 4 fingers, one on each button, increasing your ability to hit arrows with practice. Usual setup is:
LEFT HAND: middle finger = left key, index = down key
RIGHT HAND: middle finger = right key, index = up key
With some of the more complex patterns on the harder songs, you will be able to accomplish them easier with SPREAD setup.

Spread 2. I just recategorized this, but its the same setup except on the number pad.
LEFT HAND: middle finger = 4, index = 2
RIGHT HAND: middle finger = 6, index = 8
This gives you more space to work faster songs, instead of cramping it up on the arrow keys.

One hand. Three fingers from one hand are played, this may be comfortable to some, but i have personally had no experience with this style, and its probably the hardest to keep up with the really fast songs, but its all personal preference

NOTE TO ALL WHO ARE CHOOSING WHICH STYLE TO PLAY:

there are three factors you must know
- what difficulty are you going to want to play up to
- how comfortable are you with one of the setups
- comfort in your hands/wrists

Generally, if your not comfortable with a style, then change it. Your hand setup style is PERSONAL PREFERENCE. So make up your mind on which style, go practice and have fun on Flash Flash Revolution.
