Yeah, I still like X-Play, even after the ridiculous Beatmania comment. It's a funny show, and a lot of times the reviews presented are similar to my own thoughts.

At least somebody agrees with me.

I find Shadow better than sonic. Do you see sonic using rocket launcher blowing everything to bits? Sure, it may suck, but you don't get a chance everyday to mix speed and power. And this is not like most sonics. Most of sonics involve racing. Even though x-play is fun to watch, they only grade games on the negative side and never put anything good in the reviews. For example. They never did mention that super shadow could be unlocked, the camera views are good, and the music kicks ass.

Oh BTW Nintendo Power is the worst source for game reviews on the planet. I don't know why the hell it's marked as a source that counts towards the average. They gave this and Sonic Riders an 8 wtf

They specifically mentioned that the camera sucks, and based on what they showed, I'm inclined to agree.

Also, having a really crappy game with a meaningless unlockable does not make the game any better. Imagine if the American Super Mario Bros 2 game had an unlock that if you beat the game without dying you got to play as mario with GOLD HAIR LOL

And compared to the standard set by previous sonic games, I'd say there is no way that the music in this game is very good at all.

American Super Mario Bros. 2 was the worst excuse for a game Nintendo of America EVER put out. Did you know that in Japan, the game wasn't even related to Mario at all, and Nintendo of America simply changed the sprites to make it Mario? That's why Toad and Peach are playable characters; they needed 2 characters to fill the 4 total slots from the original Japanese game.

I just watched X-Play's New Super Mario Bros. review. They criticized it for being "repetitive." IT'S A ****ING 2-D SIDESCROLLER, MAN. I guess they should've added in something to eliminate that flaw, right? Like.. oh, I've got it! GUNS![/Shadow the Hedgehog]

I like watching X-Play. The reviews are witty. Too bad it just lost any credibility I still gave it after seeing the Beatmania review.

SMB2 being a dream isn't a spoiler. The instruction booklet and the game intro both mention it explicitly.

Also, everyone knows that it's just Doki Doki Panic with the graphics changed.

Who reads the instructions anyway? All I knew when I was playing that at 6 was d-pad moves, A jumps, Be picks up guys. No futher instruction needed. Yes I did know it was from a Japanese game (thought I didn't know the name) but it's still plays fine to me. Maybe I'm just odd. Let's go with that.

As they said in the review of Shadow. X-play really sucks. They have no idea what to do whatsoever with the rating franchise. Adam sessler and Morgan Webb just does not mix. (True, they fight alot of the time.)And the only thing more racist on that review is to black people.
