They teach this stuff to babies. Which is mainly the only reason christianity is still here.
And any other religion. Its a conspiracy.

So teaching a baby that God does not exist is thus part of an atheist conspiracy I assume.
Edit: And many people convert from atheism to agnosticism or agnosticism to a religion as they get older in their lives. It does not always happen but it is quite natural for an agnostic to start believing a God very well does exist at around 35. It's the same with conservative politics. Are you really naive enough to think all Christians are just Christian because they were brainwashed from birth?

Not all christians, just alot. Why would that make me naive. I dont really care about them. But when things concern me i dont want people talking me into stuff.

And why do people think religion is passed on by birth. Its disgusting.

Then there would be no point in singling out Christianity.

By your statement you implied that every Christian is born brainwashed, and that is an unsophisticated and naive thing to say.

Then maybe you should follow your own advice, and realize that religion and faith, an issue extremely important to many people who want to live good, modest lives without outside interference, should not be attack by intolerant atheists who choose to spout out that the Bible is a false document, just as atheists shouldn't have the Bible pushed down their throat.

Because parents have the largest effect on the nurturing of a child both physically and mentally, and it is natural that they will convince a child to accept their own beliefs. That is not disgusting. What is disgusting is the concept of such a child not being able to make his or her own decisions about religion as he or she grows up.

Ignoring the current conversation, I'd have to say this is your parents' fault for sending you to an Anglican school. Blame your parents, not the nun.

You have the most immature view of religion I have ever seen.

You're just a part of the typical 'I'm better than you because I can accept the bleak nothingness of death' atheist crowd. Why don't you grow up and actually do some personal searching into religion before you take such a headstrong direction.

An update. We are on Friday which is 2 days away going to a retreat where we will becoming closer to God supoosedly. I am actually looking forward to this. I know what they will tell us, they will start with why does God let their be so much suffering and focus on the whole Adam and Eve story. Unfortuantly for them i'm opposed to christianity and i will bring up the little problem of evolution and Neanderthols. I would like to say what they have to say on the theroy of evolution and see if the deny sciences explanation to how we came to be.

I'd be careful about that if I were you. Creationists can dig mighty hard for reasons, so you should expect them to be well-prepared. Well-prepared with reasons that you probably aren't able to refute.

Evolution isn't a "little problem" to them; it's no problem at all. If they found the right journals and sources, they can even have "facts" to back up their ludicrous theories.

For example, suppose one of them started spouting things off about thermodynamics. Would you know how to refute that? That's even an easy example, as their most common argument is something that anyone who's studied anything about thermo would know how to refute. Even if they get more technical, that argument's a wash, but the question is: could you do it?

What if they came up with something more difficult, started talking about the firmament, radiocarbon dating, ecological shifts? Would you know what to say?

What I'm getting is that you could end up looking like a damn fool if things don't go your way. I've debated many creationists, and the burden of proof will be on you, which is a difficult place to be. Unless you memorize everything on talkorigins.org, you won't have access to credible sources and will look like a weak pillar of your argument.

You say "unfortunately for them", but unless they're moderate or willing to debate on your terms (unlikely), you'll be the one looking the fool.

About 95% of the people in my year level are Atheist, Agnostic or Evolutionists. I'm not the only one wanting to stick it to the christians and alot of the Atheist get the highest grades at school and do debating so we can expect a massive debate happening at this worship camp of sorts.
