Popularity doesn't correlate with skill anymore ( from what I've seen. ) or maybe, it's because you're playing FFR and not SM.

I don't think being good at a game is what you need to be well known imo.

I think you would also need to have a good public presence and talk to peeps. Like me, I'm probably known not for this game, but because I like to yip yap around here and be a dumbass.

Exceptions of course is if you're just top 8 in terms of players... maybe

I gained recognition pretty quickly early on in my membership. It's most likely died down since then, but I don't care to be honest.
