Yeah, maybe you should. Plus if it takes you two times longer, that's dumb. I type like you do, and some of my friends don't, they type like "u r a qt" or whatever and it's not that hard to read, and since not that many people are going to conform to what you say, i suggest you learn to live with it and learn to read it.

such were the efforts of Webster when he put together the first official English language dictionary. What an idiot he was...i mean, why would you want everyone to spell words alike?not that many people are going to conform to what you sayComment

Re: The state of grammar on FFR...
We can talk correctly. were jus lazy cuz no one really carez(til now)Originally posted by MoogyI'll put it bluntly : The average user of FFR has atrocious grammar and spelling. I seriously don't know why only about 100 out of the ~30000 registered users consistently post with correct/grammar and spelling (minus sarcasm/jokes and the occasional typo, of course). Anyway, I've devised a few ways to help improve the grammar of you dropouts.
1. Coherency is a must. This means, basically, to post like English is your first language if English is your first language.
2. Line breaks and tabs are your friends. Paragraphs increase legibility, whereas GIGANTIC BLOCKS OF TEXT (see : Specforce's posts) decrease it. (This means Jello and Nima, especially, too.)
3. AOL slang/internet abbreviations are retarded. This includes using the letter "u" in place of the word "you", "y" in place of "why", "gr8" instead of "great", etc. No one wants to read that crap. Don't type like that; that's not how you speak in real life, so why speak like that online?
4. Punctuation exists for a reason. Capitalization exists for the same reason. Properly punctuating and capitalizing your posts goes a long way towards making them more legible and intelligent-appearing. And no, this doesn't mean Typing Like This.
5. Overuse of emoticons is stupid. Don't do it. Or at least disable smilies, those things look homoerotic.
That's pretty much all I can think of. If anyone has any addendums to this, please feel free to post them.Comment

lazy?
that just made my day...
better not move my finger two inches down the keyboard, gotta conserve energy!
As if sitting down in a computer chair for hours isn't lazy enough, you feel you must exemplify your laziness by using a form of shorthand which could be corrected in a tenth of a second.Comment

Good job of correcting grammar while using incorrect grammar yourself.Comment

Wow, this is pathetic. Arguing over grammar, you have hit a new low.

Not that i really care, but I was saying that from your perspective. Also, note the "better not" error which, when corrected, should say: "I had better not". Of course, this was meant to elaborate my thoughts through dialogue. In everyday talk, you would rarely hear someone say: "I had better not move my fingers two inches down the keyboard. I have got to conserve energy"
Yeah, arguing about grammar is pointless, unless you try to justify mistakes saying, "hoo carez how i writ? im like lazy!"Comment
