I improved a lot when i switched to playing a different way. Use your index and middle finger on your left hand to press the down and left arrows keys and use the same fingers on your right hand and use 8 and 6 on the num pad for up and right. I'm not very good at explaining it but i think everyone should at least try it because it made me so much better.
