I've been a fan of Beatmania (and all its variants) since the beginning. Like FFR, there are PC versions of it floating around too. I would recommend the one at http://bemaniadx.s3.xrea.com/

Go to http://www.m-g-z.com/showdown_tp.asp?sm=s&tp=3 to get the BMS files for the songs

If you thought FFR was hard, just wait till you do 14 keys + scratch.

yea i dont read japanesse ad i d/l EVERYTHING on the download section and all i got was some GCA documents hting, where do i go to get the actuall program???

Ok! To clear up most answers: The program is located at bemanistyle.com go find it in the forums its very easy. and for the sake of arguement saddly ffr is not HARD at all. i find and make much harder songs. and on the hand on difficulty those who say IIDX is easier on the computer are saddly mistaken. because i dont see what could make it any easier on computer and i dont see what can make it harder on the turn table. if you ask me its alot easier irl cuz keyboard keys are too small... and yes klaymen is gat,. Oh yeah and if the sound or whatever doesnt work for your sim you dled the wrong files. and if each key doesnt make a sound like the real iidx yet agan you dled the wrong bms files. I personally dont know where to get the right bms's cuz i got them from my friend who got it from his frend. but yeah.... go look around forums you lazy bastards. and if you want some bms's that work right then contact me... how ask klaymen

i play at the arcades alot, but i have my own controller at home. iidx is easy now... easier than stepmania. anybody good?

I have this sim as well. I regularly go to the arcade and play IIDX with my friend who's been playing it since the original series and its great because he can play with the scratch on the right side and I can play with the scratch on the left side. Anyway, to those who say that the comp sim is much easier than the actual, that's not true. It really depends on the song. Certain songs with lots of scratch in them might be easier on the comp but songs like moon_child with lots of "staircase" patterns are hard to do on the small keyboard keys. Anyway, its still worth the download for those who don't have access to japanese arcades.

ummm... OR you can just download the arcade songs and get a good controller... so you don't have to use the keyboard obviously... keyboard means shit.

The thing is I can't get it to run i open the .exe and it says please click boot box and then I click it then a box with shows up saying ???????????
