I wouldn't waste money on either one. Shadow the Hedgehog got dismal ratings from everyone, and although I don't think it's that bad, it doesn't seem much different from Sonic Adventure 2 except with better graphics and random adventure elements thrown in.

I hate racing games, sooo Shadow The Hedgehog. I actually played it. It was just like the other sonics and shadows.
Man to think I was expecting something out of it...

I played both, and they both sucked. Just get Need for Speed: Underground 2, it's much better if you want an NFS game.

Shadow the Hedgehog got horrible reviews..I think Game Informer named it like the 6th or 5th worst game of '05. That doesnt make much sense to me seeing as how it looks just like Sonic Adventure 2 except you play only as Shadow. I'd like to maybe rent it for a day just to see how bad it is, but i don't have my Gamecube anymore so...

Well remember, Sonic Adventure 2 didn't get that great of ratings when it came onto the Gamecube, although personally I'd give it between a 7.5-8. I never played Shadow the Hedgehog, and I'm not gonna, too.

It's not that it looks bad or that you play as Shadow, its the fact that the gameplay is now fucked up and the controls somehow got thrown to shit. Also the dialouge is disgusting, and not a good disgusting either.

Really? Can I get an example or two? Like what's wrong with the controls? What happened to the gameplay?

And as for SA2 not getting very good reviews, I would give it at least an 8. It was a pretty fun game. If I had had more fun games, I wouldn't have traded my Gamecube away. Sonic Heroes, however, was horrible..

Sonic blows in ratings for the 3D games. Why can't they make Sonic in 2D for consoles? Because it would be too much of a risk. Too bad, too, because I might buy a 2D Sonic game for a home console (excluding the Sonic Mega Collection, I'm talking about something original). Speaking of which, I still have to buy Alien Homonoid >_> I feel like a fool for not having it.

I only got my Dreamcast for SA. Anywhoo if you want a game with shadow in it get Shadow of the Colosus same thing really, exept for not and its better.

It took my 10 year old neice a day and a half to beat Shadow the Hedgehog. I'm not talking straight 24 hours either. The game is either under the 10 hours mark or pretty close.

Need for Speed isn't bad.. but there's nothing new and the whole game is the same thing over and over. Really easy too.

Look how many people played and reviewed StH compared to Need for speed.

Shadow the Hedgehog. I own it, along with every Sonic game Genesis through GameCube. The only way a even minor Sonic fan would not like this game is because of fast gameplay, and better control settings, or not playing the originals, (sadly) disabling quite a few people from really playing the game, then saying it sucks becaus ethey can't get past a certain part. This is all I've seen in reviews so far, I've beatin' everything in the game now, and the bosses are great (aside a ivo {Dr. Robotnik} boss who repeatidly says this one annoying line) and the graphics, gameplay, interactions, and storyline goes on to the previous games.

Your opinion is yours, but don't bash a great game due to not being able to understand or play it properly. (Like a lot of people I see)

No comment for NFS. Car games got old on me years ago. (Horray for long first posts!)
