I'm not sure if you guys heard about "Max. (Period)" (Look at aaron in japan's ddr fourms), but I take that as a sure-fire sign that there will be a next mix... No sane game developer would expect you to do a song like that without a bar and a high-quality pad :P

I take the enitre song as Konami making a statement, but I'm not sure what it is... it's either "If they wanna bar rape and speed mod so much they can bar rape and speed mod THIS!" or "If those idiots don't wanna bar rape without a reason, LETS GIVE THEM A GOD DAMN REASON"

Konami still makes tons of games. They've got the Gradius, Contra, and Metal Gear Solid franchises behind them, as well as DDR. I'm guessing there's still going to be lots more DDR games, knowing Konami, but they have enough financial backing to drop it if they wanted.

Zebra, you're painfully misinformed

No new DDRs are coming out for at least two years, since they're totally redoing all the hardware + software...

I think I'll be happy for a long time with Extreme. I mean I play on a DDR Euromix 1 machine, and I sometimes go to a euromix 2 one, and I'm happy with that, so you should be able to have fun on the Extreme for a few years

and I hope Konami won't announce a new DDR soon, because DDR is less and less popular (I think Extreme didn't sell well), because people are getting bored, so I'm affraid a new DDR would just kill the series. I think Konami should do just like they did with Castlevania : stop development for a few years, and just when players are beginning to forget the game, release a new one.
they could also try to find a new idea to make the next one actually "new". something like the Long songs in 5th mix (I think...) or the freeze arrows.

Oh and witeasprinwow, where did you get your info from ? (I'm not saying you're making it up, but I haven't heard of any confirmation that Konami was working on a new hardware)

Well there's UltraMix for Xbox you can get, but I don't any new ones after that. Though I rather want stuff like the other music games that Konami makes...

Well...I was looking around ebay this one time and i found something called "DDR 9th mix upgrade pack" or something of the sort. If you looked at the cover, it was COMPLETELY obvious that it was some fake bootleg. But it also gets me wondering, if it's supposingly a 'new mix' *which it really isn't* could there be new songs and features in it? I know this brings up a ton of questions, but really, think of the possibilities.
