NukeShadow: Starting from the Bottom
I can't recall the last time I played but feels good to be back. Though it's a little disheartening to barely be able to AAA songs I used to AAAA but whatever in time I hope to get it back and use this thread to chronicle dat jurney.
If anyone cares for a little backstory: I used to play a lot back in the times of glove, bursurk, zaghurim, bahamutx, dynam0, etc. and post a lot on omgdidinsane. We were considered to be the newbloods or 2nd generation if you will since we came after people like dukamok, tsutter, archowl etc. Back in the day Dynam0 and I used to be rivals but then he took off and became the embodiment of insanity and it actually left highschool me very angsty haha. Eventually people like Laggy, BahamutX, and Dynam0 were getting far better than me so I ended up switching to index for fun and primarily played that until the time I quit. Since then (5 years?) I've been on and off again a lot with ITG but have never been able to pass anything higher than a 14. Time for some scores! Midare dumps first bc these files were my absolute favorites to play back then Decided to continue punishing myself This file is absolute garbage haha dat speed then i wanted to see if i could still AAA stuff... sort of

Re: NukeShadow: Starting from the Bottom
If this is your first time playing from a 5 year break from KB play, then you did pretty well on some of the songs.
The Cetaka v2, Superluminal, and Midnight Dragon should've been AAs imo, you gotta clean those up. The AAAs are nice to point; they aren't tough to MA and they are both quite short. Would definitely like to see you get back into the groove of things and see you clean some of the scores mentioned up. Welcome back NS and hope you stick around! (I vaguely remember you from back in the day back on my nonexistent account )

Re: NukeShadow: Starting from the Bottom
Getting solid AAs on files like TOML and Frenzy is hardly "from the bottom" but I'm sure you know that
Nice to see you back, another veteran from Shash era on FFR, and of course I remember you from ODI (where I lurked probably way more than anyone realized)

Re: NukeShadow: Starting from the Bottom
Hey NuclearShadow do you still have that video of you playing MIHC where in the 32nd trills you positioned your hands 90 degrees downward and said "darting technique!"
I remember you posting on ODI too and back in that time you got very good scores, I think they were on 1.1 rate or something and were better than a lot of 1.0 rate scores haha

Re: NukeShadow: Starting from the Bottom
I was Staiain but there were plenty others better than me. I saw one of your videos earlier this week and you're a speed god O_O
Dossar I completely forgot about that video haha. Nah all my old videos are tied to some email I've long forgotten unfortunately. I hid my videos for some reason years ago so the only way to get to them would be to log into the account. Made good progress already. Might be able to actually AAA this ow ow ow... i tried we luv lama after this and went crosseyed and failed derpstream

Re: NukeShadow: Starting from the Bottom
when you soften up your hands a bit/unrust you'll see gigadelic will be a lot more manageable, you could defintiely AA this soon if you have this improvement rate. 0x1311 is a nice milestone, good luck getting AA

Re: NukeShadow: Starting from the Bottom
staiain have you AAAd 0x1311? i feel like you could haha
hmm not a bad idea icecubez ill have to find some time this week where my gf will be ok with me bashing on arrows for an hour that being said i played very softly tonight in an attempt to be quiet and pianists arent kidding when they say soft playing is the key because i was able to hit jacks quite well and my timing felt solid but i think it hurt me sometimes with jumpjacks... theres probably a good balance between light playing and hitting with determination

sick AAAs, omega's op and another planet stand out (dat ma)
once you get back into the groove of things, 0x should be an easy AA and gigadelic will get loads easier Last edited by choof; 03-17-2015 at 11:51 PM.. |
