By the same measure anything in this game is worthless, you can get a score again, you can earn more grand total. But I would bet if any of those got wiped from you through a vulnerability in the website, I would be reading a similar thread. The transaction log exists to track things like this so that theft/exploits can be fixed. The gambling hall has no equivalent and a history of being exploited. Why would an opt-out be an issue. As it stands, I have no clue who accessed my account or where my credits went. And on top of it, I get accused of gambling it away and crying about it. Frankly, I don't give a flying fuck about the credits, it the principal. Someone fucked with my shit and I want it dealt with. I can get more credits, but I don't want this to happen ever again, to me or anyone else. Its an easy fix. Last edited by omega_grunt666; 02-24-2014 at 12:16 PM.. |

If you want it dealt with then PM an admin and stop acting like we should feel bad for you for not keeping your own account secure.

I tell ya, playing through those long easy rock songs are brutal. I actually would be kind of annoyed that I would have to do those songs again if things got wiped!

There isn't exactly one person in charge of problems like this, and I'm not going to go around kicking doors until I find the right person. You opted to read the thread, if you didn't like its contents you are encouraged to move on and ignore it. I don't need a lecture on account security, I can count on two fingers the number of times my online accounts have been compromised in the last 15 years (The other time it was confirmed the site had been compromised) I'm not worried about the websites security considering the nature of the attack, but I'm still bothered by the vulnerability of the gambling hall to be used as a tool to attack people without consequence. If I was on your account, and transferred all your credits to myself, I would be very surprised if you didn't do anything about it. Last edited by omega_grunt666; 02-24-2014 at 12:28 PM.. |

Truth be told, the only time I would notice is if suddenly I couldn't access the Secret genre and if there was a song in Purchase I need to buy as I consciously always look at the credit count when buying.

You guys are insufferable dicks sometimes
I'm not frustrated about the issue or the fact that Omega lost his credits, I'm frustrated at the fact that nearly everyone is attacking him. He noticed an issue (while it's a damn worthless little problem), and he's making a suggestion to better an aspect of the site. If we can make key cards to TGB why can't we give an option to disable the transaction of credits off of an account as a whole? Who does it hurt? And while I realize this isn't a top priority issue because it was possibly something caused by him accidentally allowing his password to be retrieved, that doesn't make the issue and suggestion any less valid. /endrant

Because if there's a way to disable it, there needs to be a way to enable it again if you change your mind. And if there's a way to enable it again, somebody with access to your account and re-enable it exactly as easily as you can.
And if you can't ever re-enable it, then the staff will have to start dealing with additional requests from people who can't transfer credits to handle running contests or tournament prize distribution for them etc etc. |

It should be noted all gambling hall activity is logged, like every single thing that can transfer credits.

k locking because this discussion isn't productive at all. I'll PM you about this in a few minutes. For future reference, issues like this can be PM'd to any active staff member who should be able to pass the message along to the right person.
