Do you have a cable modem becuase that happen to me and it expiered. I couldnt get on the internet. Then i got a new one and it was all better.

I solved the problem already - thanks to talisman for the ZA comment - and I mentioned before the specifics.

How could it have been a dead cable modem if I could still load half a page and play an MMORPG?! I knew it had to be limiting my bandwith somehow, so I ran TCPView to see what was outgoing and incoming through my network and happened to notice Avast had about 15 different webclients running. And later, I noticed Media Player had 7 as well, which I promptly blocked.
