Well, read as the title says. It's football season again and that means Fantasy Football is starting up. I want to see if any are interested in joining an ESPN fantasy football league. I always try to find one good one once a year, and it never quite works out. I'm sure there are at least a couple people out there that like playing Fantasy Football.
I don't want just anyone to sign up, so people that would take it at least semi-seriously would be nice(but not overly serious). I wanna restrict it to a 12-16 person league, but going over the limit isn't the worst thing in the world, another league can always be created. If this doesn't get good feedback then I won't do it. If you are interested, don't just say "in ". Give ideas on it. Live draft or an auto pick one? Stuff like that. Also, I was thinking of making it interesting. I'll donate at least 5k credits, but let's build up a prize pool throughout this. Maybe have like a 5k entrance fee? And just anymore that anyone wants to donate will be added. This way, we at least have some type of reward or prize. Anyway, let me know what you think. Ideas, suggestions, and whether you'd be interested in this or not. If I get good support I'll add a sign-up and donations to this post. Those interested: MystictheHedgehog StormKlowd61 wwe_extremist If we don't hit at least 8-10, then this is a no go. (also, wasn't sure if this belonged here or in the tournaments sub forum, so if in the wrong forum please move it.)

Aww, sweet! I'd totally be up for this. 5K start up sounds good. Give half of the prize pool to the team with best record, and other half to team with most points scored? Work? No? Anyways, I want in!

Depending on how we would do it. With ESPN I believe there is a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place, and we could divide it that way. Say 20k pot, 10k 1st, 7k 2nd, 3k to third. Or something. Just an idea I'm floating around.

That sounds pretty intense i would suggest the team with the best records instead of points scored and the top 3 teams get prizes but it should be like 1 qb 2 rb 2 wr 1 te a kicker and like a defense for one team and have subs too

It doesn't matter to me. I was just suggesting what my Fantasy League does. But hey, it doesn't matter. Hopefully more people will join in, because I am so in.

Would you do Online Live Draft, or a Autopick draft? I think Autopick Drafts are a really fair and clean way to go about it. My reason being, Autopick Draft tries to make the teams as even as possible.
EDIT: Im not in this by the way. Im already in 3 fantasy leagues and it hard to juggle that many. Im just giving you a good suggestion to go about choosing Autopick Draft. Keep in mind if you were to do a Live Draft, people can get disconnected and totally screw it up. Its up to you though, I just figured id throw in a suggestion.

we've done this before. multiple times. for both football and baseball. and it NEVER works out well.
few reasons... 1. there are so few FFRers who care about sports 2. many of those that do care and sign up either miss the draft or stop participating after only a few weeks... thereby killing most of the competition if you're going to do it, don't have an entrance fee or donations. just do it for fun/pride. also, it should go in chit chat. but, yea... we've tried this over the years. twice in football, once in baseball. plus i make sure to do the ncaa tournament every year. and, really, none are successful.

I would be totally into it if I was not in so many leagues as it is. Tass has a point though, Ive heard that FFR Fantasy Leagues usually don't last.

Tass: Yeah I know that this type of stuff never turns out too well. I'm always in your NCAA tourney's. I'm just trying it out to see if it can work out...by the look of it so far though, it's no. If we get enough people, we'll decide then if people wanna do a prize pool or not. MrMagic: Most Fantasy leagues I'm in usually get ignored too. It's not just FFR ones. I wanted to start this one so that I could actually get one that may last through the season, instead of people giving up at week 8. |

i can basically guarantee that even if you get 8 people to agree to signup for an FFR league (which will be hard)... you'll have 4-5 active by week 5 or 6.
