Default A way for screencutters to see their PA.

I noticed when playing on dark that the arrow only flashes when you get a perfect. Is there any way for you guys to make it flash different colors for perfect, good, average? That way us screencutters can judge how we're doing and it's not a surprise at the end of the song.

Just watch the arrows at the top carefully. They only flash for perfects regularly too.
I think.

EDIT: Nevermind. I was wrong.

Ive been wandering about this too luna.
Id like to know where im getting a "good" or an "average".
im tired of playing through a song just to see if i AAA it or highscore it.
Id just be able to boo out if i could see my accuracy and try again

You make the screen smaller so you see like half of the game.

Well, I don't consider myself a 'bad' player, but I never have good pa. But this idea crossed my mind many times.

I've been thinking that exact same thing for a long time. It's a great idea!

Yeah, I'd think it would be possible/good idea as well. I mean, I don't need it, because I'm a half cutter, so emo, anyway.. yeah Its a good idea.

Agreed.
Screen shrinking does nothing to help.

Learn reverse scrolling. I learned how to. I can play both reverse and normal. If I could do it, you guys could probably do it, too.

I don't think so, considering I can't learn how to play on standard scroll. I tried for quite a while then r2 came out, and I probably had about my first billion points or so before I switched to reverse.

Fact remains guys:
1) Screen shrinking.. does help.. A LOT. Just saying don't screen shrink doesn't solve this problem at all.
2) Reverse scrolling would take A LONG time for standard scrolling users to switch to, not to mention about 10% of the community uses reverse.

I mean, this shouldn't effect anyone who normally plays, would it?

You lost me on that.. You started on reverse, then played normal, but gave up? If so, then what's your problem on reading the PA?

I just can't read anything that way. I can still PA some really, really easy songs, but I just can't read stuff very fast that way. I've tried, I can't even do as well on standard now as I could do after playing it for 2 months, back before I discovered reverse.

The last time I played a song in SM on standard, that I can remember anyway, I scored 97 million...out of a possible 200 million, on a song I've scored about 190 million on with reverse, but at least I passed.

Edit: I don't have a problem on reading the PA, I'm just saying telling the standard scrollers to switch to reverse isn't the answer.

Well, if you have the potential to be in the top 100, better yet top 10, then you have the potential to learn reverse scroll or just deal with it.

Well the only thing currently that allows you to distinguish good from perfect is during jacks or really high BPM songs, where if your eyes are good, you'll see a white border appear around the arrow.

I'm not going to learn reverse scroll.

It's not as much of a problem for me anyway, since I typically know where I get goods, or can at least figure it out afterwards.
