How long have you gone w/o sleep? Tell me your stories.
Haven't slept for the past 70 hours due to immense workload. Midterms, papers, assignments all crammed up into 1 week.
I'm close to seeing things and everything seems slowed down. Share your stories. |

I've done 24 hour marathons before, like stuff on twitch or working overnight things at a camp, midnight releases of stuff, etc. Aside from that, I'm a little bitch when I don't get my sleep, so I don't do it often, and when I do I go to sleep as soon as I can for as long as I can.

Re: How long have you gone w/o sleep? Tell me your stories.
about 36 hours, during the vROFL challenge thing. I decided to do the vROFL challenge after being awake for 12 hours since like 11am the previous day. My arms were sore, it was hard to lift things, and I had not eaten until around 7-8pm when I completed the challenge. It got to a point where the black bg color of FFR during levels turned purple, and I experience a body-high-feeling afterwards. I crashed and slept like a baby.

Re: How long have you gone w/o sleep? Tell me your stories.
A very long time, but about 45 hours doing vROFL in total, i should have slept before doing it lol .. It was intense. Arrows were unreadable lol. I'm also playing a game where it gets insane for 2 weeks now, so i'm going to be whoring the shit out of it nearly 24/7 until it ends .. I'll post back with details rofl

Re: How long have you gone w/o sleep? Tell me your stories.
When I stay up for 24+ hours, it's mainly when I'm doing something entertaining with my friends that will keep me awake.
The longest I have ever stayed up was for about two consecutive days with my friends. After the 24 hour mark, I started to do a lot of physical things to keep me awake (like football, bouncing on a trampoline, jogging, etc). I really pushed it making it to the 48 hour mark, because I actually have no memory of what happened after going back into their house early in the afternoon. Probably passed out on a couch or something. EDIT: From what I remember though, I started to actually feel detached from my body for the last few hours I was awake. I was thinking and moving around fine, but I felt like I was inside of something and controlling it, instead of it actually being my body. It was cool, I think my ability to feel things was affected pretty intensely.

Re: How long have you gone w/o sleep? Tell me your stories.
Actually this week I've been doing allnighters trying to get work done. This monday I had been awake for 48 hours and last night I didn't sleep either to get my assignments done in time.

Re: How long have you gone w/o sleep? Tell me your stories.
I can't remember the last time I pulled an all-nighter due to school work—I have excellent time management and work ethic.
Although, I recall during the summer time I once went about 32 hours without sleep because of my part-time work shifts for two days. Closed from 14:00 to 22:30 and opened at 7:00 to 15:30 the next day, except I literally got 0 hours of sleep in between and after work I just couldn't catch any shut eye because I was jack-wired on coffee zzz

Re: How long have you gone w/o sleep? Tell me your stories.
I stayed up about 96 hours once. It was probably more like 92/93. Hard to tell time when you can't tell what anything is. Worst week of my life. It was my last week in High School, and apparently I was failing 3 out of my 5 classes, so I stayed up doing coursework. Mainly critique papers for my English class. I had about 4 of them to do total, then I had to write up a 15 minute presentation with pictures and 2 videos. So majority of the time I spent watching Youtube videos lol.
Nothing but caffeine and adderall.

Re: How long have you gone w/o sleep? Tell me your stories.
36~ hours here, did a couple days where I would drink coffee at 4 in the morning and have 7-8 cups done until 8 or 9 in the morning.
Really sucks staying up that long though, everything slows down.

Re: How long have you gone w/o sleep? Tell me your stories.
I remember doing multiple 24 plus up to 36-hour sessions during the summer break.
I start to feel paranoid and also experience hallucinations (seeing people or things) especially in the peripheral vision area of sight - I feel also like my muscles are completely fatigued. Don't recommend it, at all unless it's out of necessity or curiosity. |

Re: How long have you gone w/o sleep? Tell me your stories.
Two weeks ago i was up for 5 days due to some intense anxiety and depression. I couldn't shake the feeling. I ended up going to emerg to basically tell them that I'm lost and idunno what to do to get myself asleep, reading or listening to any kind of therapy online didn't seem to help, and i was delirious after the 5th day. Every night when i was about to fall asleep i'd fall into a panic attack and i'd be trembling around the house trying to take my mind off it. I couldn't work on my homework because my mind just became so empty and I wasn't even thinking, i was just worried nonstop. Up to that point I was only getting maybe two or three hours of sleep a night for about two weeks.
Was absolutely terrible, but the worst thing was that i was not tired whatsoever, even on the night where i finally got some sleep. I still only sleep every other night now usually (last night i only got an hour, thats typically all in an off-night). I've been working hard to try to fix it since the massive panic attack I had; it really made me start to associate the feeling of falling unconscious/sleeping with the feeling of dying/passing out beyond my control. Hoepfully that all changes!!!

Re: How long have you gone w/o sleep? Tell me your stories.
a little over 100 hours. I was in 4th grade and my friends parents lived in this tight ass house by the country. His parents left for a 4 days for a vacation and were cool with me staying with my buddy zach the whole time. We decided to stay up the whole time they were gone. I remember at one point we were playing hide and seek and I went in his parents closet and there were a bunch of sex toys and videos and stuff. Towards the end we also convinced ourselves there was a werewolf under the house, we definitely got delirious haha

Re: How long have you gone w/o sleep? Tell me your stories.
In the last year or so I've been pulling a ton of all-nighters because of my art projects. Normally, when I stay a whole night awake, it's for friends or something. (Friends include: staying awake watching funny cat videos alone)
Thing is, the only times I've gone farther than 2 days occurs at random, normally when I venture into the night. Last time I believe was at the local LAN party (which sucked badly). I hadn't slept the previous day and decided to head there without any sort of preparation. Quite the adventure I must say. When I'm in need for sleep (Need For Sleep 2: Most Wanted), I often experience distortion in perception and visual hallucinations. The slow-motion or sped-up sensation is the worst, happens every time. And I'd like to have some lucid dreaming one day, seems cool. I don't like sleeping. It feels like I overlap on my awake life. |

I know, I've been a dumb secluded hermit for the whole summer basically, I think I just have to readjust after being sick and diseased for so long x__x ~ or perhaps embarrassed, for some reason, which has held me back from telling people :I lame.
Yessssss~~~

Re: How long have you gone w/o sleep? Tell me your stories.
My limit was 78 hours, a little over 3 days. It wasn't fun. I felt sick whenever I ate something, I was extremely shaky, my eyes were heavy. I wouldn't want to do it again, the headache I had for the following days was awful.

Re: How long have you gone w/o sleep? Tell me your stories.
I stayed up once for 32-36 hours before passing out in the middle of the living room floor. I was working on a project for English class in my senior year of high school that I didn't get done until last minute. When I woke up, I was really groggy, my eyes were in pain if I were to stare at something for more than 5 seconds, I got really irritated by the smallest things, and I had school that morning. I did not have a good time.
