anti-dep withdrawals are the worst
but thankfully an act of god or something put in a refill for meds so I get them tomorrow, I thought it would be weeks
fortunately I've had benzos to keep me grounded for the past few days but I've had to take exceedingly high doses fortunately v2 I've only had to take them a few times I really need to try something new tho, feels like every time I get on an anti-dep it's good for a while and then starts falling to shit. the next thing to try might be something like lithium or abilify which I am totally open to. this will be the... sixth time I've changed meds? I'm going to straight up bitch my doctor out if he tries to put me on another regular anti-dep because they obviously don't work long term anyway I'm sorta good right now aside from the fact that some fuckstick in the rhythm game discord straight up encouraged me to kill myself tonight; that's pretty fucking neato. I'm not a anti-dep connoisseur, so all I have to say is: godspeed. Hope you get better soon.

Re: anti-dep withdrawals are the worst
if your doc is just writing prescriptions and not analyzing the issue you need a new doc.
I say this as an anxiety/depression/bi-polar chronic sufferer.

bipolar 2 is why i'm going to ask for abilify or lithium. preferably lithium. funnily at some point within the last year I was on seroquel and it was amazing but another doctor took me off of it because "we usually don't prescribe that until we try a bunch of other things" like bruh come THHEEEE fuck on |

But in all seriousness thats also the other side of the coin...you bounce between too many doctors and each one believes in different things. One may swear by a medication the next thinks its the plague. Thats why its important to find a doctor that is concerned for your needs vs. just writing a script for the next medicine on the list. Tolerence is inevitable, unfortunately. You can only up your dosage so much before its senseless to take that medicine any longer. Depending on your situation trying to find other means of relief (counseling, exercise, etc.) along with the medicine can prolong the time before your body builds a tolerence for whatever drug you are taking. These diseases are no joke and are nothing to be messed with. Unless someone has really suffered from them they can't comprehend how it is. I wish you good luck and also for anyone that may read this. Hope this isn't a jumbled mess im about 2 hours past my bed time lol

Re: anti-dep withdrawals are the worst
Anti-dep withdrawal is honestly some of the worst shit i've ever been through, multiple times. I'm glad you're getting a refill and i hope that you find the right meds mate.

Re: anti-dep withdrawals are the worst
Ask for valproic acid to try out before lithium if hypomania is affecting you a lot. Less side effects and it is very nice at mood stabilizing. Best of luck bud.

Re: anti-dep withdrawals are the worst
I agree. I think valproic acid is way better than lithium and has less side effects.
Im bipolar 1 i havent been taking meds lately but ive been generally alright. But when i took meds valproic acid always worked.

Another reason to ask about it at least choof is that gabapentin works well for you. Valporate acts on GABA receptors likewise and has anti seizure properties all the same, so it may work similarly to that minus feeling as relaxed (no intoxicated effects like you may have on large doses of gabapentin but no tolerance buildup). I would highly suspect it to be an effective option.
