![]() It would be cool to have a puppy that can live forever. Who would disagree?
Honestly, it would be great, considering that dogs have a lifespan roughly 8.6 times smaller than ours (and that’s going by average life expectancy). I would love it if there was a way to soulbond my dog so that he could only die when I die (not invicible, just immune to natural causes and more resilient). The fact that dogs live so much shorter than us is a problem that needs to be addressed someday Last edited by QueenAshy; 09-11-2018 at 08:25 PM.. |

![]() Given how poorly some people take care of their pets/animals, I would hate to have such abused animals have their lives extended to the lifetime of a human only to be horribly abused/neglected the entire time.

Do you think those people would care enough about their dog to spend thousands of dollars to make it immortal?

![]() No, because then those dogs would be confiscated as test subjects in an attempt to find immortality for (a select few) humans. The way the question is phrased, it sounds like there would be a solution for the dogs, and if it did in fact work, it would be modified for humans and that would be significantly worse.
Water Bears are probably the closest thing to immortality that scientists have seen. These organisms can withstand extreme environments. You can imagine the interest in them for how their resilience can be applied to humans.
