Dungeon Defenders
What is Dungeon Defenders? Dungeon Defenders is a Tower Defense Action-RPG where you must save the land of Etheria from an Ancient Evil! Create a hero from one of four distinct classes to fight back wave after wave of enemies by summoning defenses and directly participating in the action-packed combat! That's great, but what does that mean? Each level will contain multiple waves of enemies. Your job is to set up defenses similar to a traditional Tower Defense style game. However, you are also a part of the action. You control a character to hack and slash at the enemies while also making sure to keep your defenses up and running. Is that all you do? In each level, yes. However, there is an RPG element to it. There are different characters to choose from, each with their own abilities, attacks, and defenses. Choose the Apprentice to put down hard-hitting towers at the cost of having weaker attacks. If that doesn't suit your style, you can choose the Squire and have great wave controlling defenses in the form of large barricades and a spinning blade wheel. There are 4 heroes to choose from (8 if you get the DLC) and you can make 1 of each if you like, although the levels don't carry over. Is it playable online? Hell yes, and it is even encouraged. Although you can delve into each level on your own, the idea of Dungeon Defenders is to combine the forces of the different classes in order for the best outcome. You can play either local multiplayer by plugging in gamepads, or hop online with your friends. All data syncs perfectly between offline and online play, so there's no need to worry about leveling up offline and being behind your friends. How much does it cost? The current cost of Dungeon Defenders on Steam is $15, and there are also 9 DLC packages (3 of which are free) which range from costumes to more missions for a total of $15.94. So, the "complete" game is about $30 but there is possibly more DLC to come. The DLCs are mainly for extra needs, but the game is 100% playable without any extra purchases. Apparently the holiday-based DLCs were free for a short while after their release, but I cannot confirm that or the possibility of more holiday DLCs that will also be free for a short time. If anybody has this game or plans on buying it, add me on Steam so we can play together!

Re: Dungeon Defenders
Problem with the game to me is that it's hackable with memory editors. It's really easy to make overpowered items or character stats. Really fun game though.

Re: Dungeon Defenders
I've only just started and I've just been playing with friends to avoid things like that. The problem with almost ANY RPG like game is that it's hackable.

Re: Dungeon Defenders
Not at all, good sir. The game is addicting. There's even a demo if you want to try it.

Re: Dungeon Defenders
The demo? Demo's never cost anything. If you're referring to the game itself, it's $15.

Re: Dungeon Defenders
There's also a free version of the game, fully featured, on iOS and Android. Pretty cool.

If you're planning on playing the game seriously, you'll probably want at least the expansion though.
