something about stepmania 4.0

Because i wanted to see how i faired up against 1.2X Quasar, i increased the rate of my music
Not only did i fail miserably, but it was all completely off sync
After i restarted computer, a funny thing happened, all my songs were then off synced one beat behind
I've tried the manual syncing, but nothing helps =\

If anyone out there has any clue what i can do to fix my stepmania, please please!! post here
Any advice is appreciated, thanks ^^

I have Stepmania 3.9, and I heard 4.0 has a lot of glitches and is still in beta. Soz =\

Chances are the global offset is off. You should be able to change it in the options.

Don't play SM4.
Also, Quasar is off-sync.

is global offset in the first options page or the one inside the game?
would that be the "Calibrate audio sync" option?
