Decaf or caffeine free?
Like, what's the difference?
Isn't the end result just...no caffeine? Why do they bother making different labels for it? |

Re: Decaf or caffeine free?
just a guess here...
decaf probably means the caffeine was systematically removed caffeine free means there was never any caffeine to begin with |

Decaffeinated coffee has literally had caffeine removed which is naturally there. Caffeine free soda is a drink which would normally have caffeine added to it, but in this case it was not added.

what's the difference in the result? like it still doesn't have caffeine so why is it even mentioned? is it illegal to not mention it or something? |

Re: Decaf or caffeine free?
It makes some people happy to know they aren't drinking caffeine because they think it's bad for them.

What Guido said. Decaf items still have a tiny bit of caffeine in them.

I assumed this was the case, which is why I made sure not to say "literally had all caffeine removed".
