Default Anyone have a really good pair of headphones?

I bought a pair of headphones for my mp3 player, but the jack for the headphones is screwed up (probably due to poor quality), and it takes 5 minutes for me to get the sound to play correctly...

I'm looking for a new pair... Cheap, decent quality (as in--doesn't suck), and doesn't wear out...

And btw: I mean headphones, not earbuds or on-ear headphones... I'll explain why later.

EDIT: Also, if it's sold online, could you link to it please? Thanks.

Try the sony headphones at radio shack that have great stereo quality, only costs 20 bucks. They are on ear but still have that little fuzzy protector over it. I know you didn't want on ear but I am assuming the reason is because of no fuzzy protectors to support the deep bass and reduce pressure on ears. Anyways if you really want to find your preferred set just go out to radioshack and browse around.

Actually, no.

Reason was that I have a hearing loss (no joke), and I wear hearing aids, and I can't hear well unless I position headphones in a specific way, which I can only achieve if I am using a regular headset, as the microphones for the hearing aids are towards the top, not on the outside of the ear.

That was the reason. Reason I didn't post it in the OP was because I didn't have time due to annoying homework loads.

That's my reason....

So anyone know of a pair of good headphones THAT THEY HAVE USED that lasted a while?

I've been using a pair of those for about two years now. Absolutely fantastic headphones.

I had Sony MDR-V6s for about two years until I got my new Beyerdynamic headphones (which are amazing, but 150 dollars)

The MDRs are around 65 and are very comfortable and work well.

Mine simulate surround sound, and cost me only $30 at Best Buy. Granted, that was after I used the $55 worth of gift cards... I love 'em. I wish I had a working laptop to use them with. :'(

Koss KSC75, are the best you can get if you want to go cheap. They pretty much beat a lot of 50 dollar phones easily and always gotten favorable reviews. I have been frequenting head-fi forums for over a year and I have 3 pairs of headphones and 2 amps with a DaC. So if you want to actually have something decent sounding instead of garbage, KSC75 are pretty much only choice for you atm.

Atm my favorite set is MUSICAL FIDELITY XCAN v3 amp paired with Sennheiser HD650 that's 700dollars for those 2.

Sennheiser supposedly makes the best headphones for their price. Check them out.

Skullcandy Lowriders:

1. They're $40 (which is kinda pricy, but not compared to bose)

2. They fold out in pretty much any direction (Up, In, Down, the earbuds swivel in and out, so it's pretty versatile)

3. for the price they are, the sound quality is AMAZING

4. They may be thin, but DAMN, are they durable

That is all

Exact opposite compared to my experiences (as far as 3&4). I've listened through the same exact ones, the sound quality is pretty bad and they do not last at all.
