Dossar's ITG Progress Thread
A group of friends got a machine up and running in August and since then I've been making an effort to play ITG 1-2 times a week, usually on Friday and Sunday. This thread is meant to track my progress over time and some goals, although I consider it a major milestone with my speed setback that I'm finally getting closer to 14s (12 to 13 was bullshit, ugh).
I've found I have two very major weaknesses: - Speed - Jacks (Pendulum patterns are death, they're filled with these and trills) Current Goals: October - Get a solid 14 pass DONE 10/5/16 - Pass Hold Your Colour (Bipolar Vocal Mix) DONE 10/16/16 - Pass Granite - Pass Oceanlab Megamix - Pass exotic ethnic 1.8 rate (I got to the last 5 notes and failed twice in a row, but this is within reach relatively soon) Now on to the start of the thread with the September 25th session. Normal Rate Rates

Re: Dossar's ITG Progress Thread
Motherfucker, 42 measures of 155 is NOT a 12, fuck you. D:
Go trash Ala Rosso (14) from Cirque du Zeppelin already. And actually, a long term goal since you seem to find those mid-speeds so low: after you get your bearings on that mid-160 area, go pass Aggressive 201 (15). Pssst: it's got 100+ measures of unbroken run at the end. You've got some good skill on low-speed stamina, maaaaaan. We need to trade for a day just to see the kind of damage that each other can do. On another note, you're almost making me want to make a thread for something similar to this since I've been playing quite a bit of ITG lately (prior to a few weeks ago, I'd only played once in three months, whereas I've had four sessions in the last 6 days). Re: Dossar's ITG Progress Thread
So, I'm gonna bump your thread with this, because this is also a goal of mine at the moment -- I have no doubt that you'll get to it before me, but I think this something that is within your range because of how good you are at this tempo:
Download: 13 - Big Sky (Agnelli / Nelson Remix) (You're Streaming Even More) 13 - Mindful Whiteglow Vocal Mix (Disbalance 2) 13 - Summertime (2013 mix) (You're Streaming Forever) 13 - In And Out Of Love (Kenny Hayes Blue Sphere Remix) (You're Streaming Again) 13 - Magic Waters (Trancemania 2) 13 - Programmed Sun (You're Streaming Again) 13 - M.O.N.I. (Barcoda Project Remix) (Trancemania) 13 - Cold Leaf (Vocajawnz) all in a row, no break aside from the time it takes to transition to and from songs. This course is considered a 16 as a whole (probably more of a 15); it's like 45 minutes of play, and a huge amount of it is just 16th streaming at low tempo. Re: Dossar's ITG Progress Thread
Today started out aggravating being stuck at <150 BPM stamina, although after passing Max 300 Challenge from Crossover Spectrum my legs decided to actually move.

Re: Dossar's ITG Progress Thread
I got this today! First Pendulum 14 was Crush Challenge. I failed Hold Your Colour Bipolar Vocal Mix in the last run of the 14-14-14 ending. I won't be able to have another session until Tuesday next week and it'll be a short one as well.

Stats for the above score in terms of miss distribution. I've noticed I have a bit of a problem with right facing patterns. I got this score before trying Hold Your Colour Bipolar Vocal Mix. It's my first star on a "14" ("14" in quotes because this does not feel like much of a 14, despite being 64 unbroken measures of 160 stream). For a long time I'm focusing on stamina. 170 seems to be a good zone for me to continue with -- it's fast enough that I can keep up but not get aggravated. Hopefully sometime in the near future I can get Oceanlab Megamix, although my frequency of playing has dropped to once a week for now and I have my back to be concerned about (previous attempt was 318 measures in with my back making me stop, not my arms or legs). |

I'm gonna yell at you again for your remarks on Endless Flyer. 64 measures at 160 is not under any stretch a 13. Take those goddamn quotes off before I shove them up your ass.

- 140 BPM I can sustain for a few hundred measures if I really push - 160 BPM, Endless Flyer is basically how much I can do before my accuracy tanks - 170-175 BPM my accuracy worsens by quite a bit and my current limit is around 40 measures at once. - 180-185 BPM, OUCH. Just 32 measures of this hurts really bad. - 190+ BPM = rip Determinator = 48 notes of jack-heavy 220 BPM stream = impossible |

Re: Dossar's ITG Progress Thread
So after not playing for two weeks I had a very surprising session yesterday. I wasn't able to get all my October goals, although I did acquire this one:
This is definitely my best stamina pass to date. My previous attempt on this was 318 measures in before my back totally destroyed my run. This time around my back was also hurting but not as much, so I could survive this time (and my legs/arms weren't hurting as bad). By the end of this song my back hurt way more than anything. Around 350 measures in my arms and legs were surprisingly comfortable for how long I was streaming for. OceanLab Megamix Video Now on to some other stuff: Single File from TC_Halogen, breakdown is 71/16/16 of 158 BPM 16th stream with rude patterns. Video Link Second DDRStream PreSupernova 14. This is around 54 measures of 174 BPM stream, very painful. Video Link Double Did not expect to FC this, especially so early in the session. 170 streaming on double is hard. First DDR 18 on Double on ITG Life Difficulty! |

Re: Dossar's ITG Progress Thread
My frequency of playing has dropped to once a week so I don't really have any goals right now except to clear some more Crossover Spectrum 13s and keep passing stamina 14s. Some scores below are from the 11/20/2016 session.
Not Crossover Spectrum Nobar, link to video Nobar, link to video SV3 chart from TC_Halogen with rude patterns. Link to video Almost double-starred in this run, but that miss ruined it. Crossover Spectrum Today was pretty good for Crossover Spectrum. I'm clearing some more of the 13s (although some are really 14s, like Old Skool Luv Challenge). Nobar, link to video This crushed my previous score by over 10%. Link to video First pass and it was also a 90 break! Link to video Failed in the last long run, this is probably a mid 14. |

Re: Dossar's ITG Progress Thread
I haven't been playing ITG much although I'm picking up running for 2-3 times a week to stop a sedentary lifestyle. I'm slowly getting back into stamina again, although I got something pretty nice today for me: My first 11 star in the BemaniBeats series! In addition I got a lot of crossover spectrum stuff.

Re: Dossar's ITG Progress Thread
I surprised myself today with two 14 passes that I've gotten back in October 2016, but with a better score after not playing actively for a while. I've only been playing once a week and last week I was doing mid stamina 13s, so this was a bit of a shock.
Some other stuff: Nice accuracy I have lots of issues with speed, so the following are actually good passes for me. I still haven't passed Fascination eternal love mix Challenge. |
