I'm a Monster [40 or 44]
This chart contains a 24th roll into hands, thirty-second notes, and a 16th note jumpstream and is more complex than and 40, 41, or 42 you can compare it to. I'd consider this a high 8 on the old scale. The bursts and jumpstream out class songs currently in its range such as brightone, infinity, go go potty trainers, grandolin, and others. It is more comparable in difficulty to a (44) like Megascorcher.
Edit:// More detail - Songs in the 40 range lack a sustained jumpstream at a similar tempo. Also, 24ths and thirty-second notes are almost non existent, and appear more in the 44 and up range. The tempo is lower than songs like seven or redirected moonlight considerably, so it's not worthy of going above a 45. Edit2:// [1,3] [2,4] sixteenth are nonexistent in the 40-43 range in the middle of jumpstream Last edited by TheSaxRunner05; 12-22-2012 at 07:33 PM.. |

Re: I'm a Monster [40 or 44]
I'm A Monster is definitely harder than any 40, I agree. Though, the speed of the jumpstream isn't as fast as files such as Eclipse, but the patterns are much more complex and it has 24ths/32nds to boot.
Personally feel that I'm A Monster is a little harder than Eclipse, which is a 43 and it's comparable to Megascorcher as well, so I agree with this being a 44. |

Re: I'm a Monster [40 or 44]
those rolls, and the 'anchored' JS, or 16ths, whatever they were. pretty intense.
this song is def at the top of 8s. eclipse is tough to compare any song to, but i thought this song was easier than megascorcher. megascorcher felt like denser parts other 44s wrath: has the tough staggered 2 part roll at the beginning, which takes huge control for an 8. rest isn't too tough tho, so i'd say on par. sepia: has similar 24ths, but that stupid 1-4 trill that goes from 16ths to 24ths. gosh i hate those kinds of patterns............. doesn't feel to different in difficulty. all that said, i'm still for some reason feeling this should be a 43 :S maybe someone could do stats on other 43 & 44s to take a look?

Re: I'm a Monster [40 or 44]
I definitely agree that it is not a 40 and will have to say it fits in better into the 43-44 difficulties, this chart is pretty rough as the OP mentioned with usage of hands,
24th streams, 32 rolls and some arguably tough jump patterns and the JS-climax. Smooth but rigid. Last edited by Coolboyrulez0; 12-23-2012 at 08:56 AM.. |
