Question Is there such a thing as 'too high'?

Me and the dudes have been pondering on this question for quite some time so I thought id make this thread to see if any of you could offer some insight on the matter.

Can one get 'too high' from smoking the stinky green stuff?
Is there a point where high becomes 'too high'?
Is there such a thing as 'too high'?

I would like to say that smoking doesn't necessarily mean you are not productive, although it is usually a factor

that is all, oh wait the main question, uhm yea there is such a thing as too high, it is when your personal definition of high is exceeded to a limit beyond causing you to become "TOO HIGH" per say

When you have a big pot brownie from someone unreliable for your first time getting high and then going home and being with no one for the experience at 4 am is not a good idea. "You're gonna have a bad time". That didn't happen to me or anything don't be silly guys haha ha ha.....

Lol. I remember u telling that story.

Smoking and being productive can go hand in hand. But don't be confused, not everyone can... keep themselves busy per se. As for the original question, the answer is simple......

Yes it is.

The answer to the question is dependent upon any given situation in which you or one could ask you, "are you too high to/for...?" whether this person is referencing your prior agreement to play a game of soccer, stay awake, be involved in a social situation etc. Right now as I type this I'm pretty ****ing high but I'm never *too high* to do or not do any certain thing as opposed to me not being as high or high at all. However, were I to take some fat dabs of bho right before going to see my mormon family, I would definitely be *too high* to spend time with them without it being pretty obvious by the sheer look in my face that I am completely blazed.

Yes you can. And it can be scary, but it only really seems to happen to people who don't usually smoke. You can become extremely paranoid, to the point of trying to push your body through your ceiling, as you yell for help because you feel you cannot control your own body and everyone just sits there watching you.

What a specific reference...

There was this one time i was at a friend's house and we hotboxed the bathroom with the lights off and a green strobe light on. 2 people in the bathtub, one person on the toilet, 1 person sitting on the sink, and two others standing in the middle; this bathroom was effin small. Long story short we got out the bathroom after tripping out from the strobe light, and somehow I was the last person out... I was closest to the door. Next thing I know, im on my knees in the doorway and my glasses fell off my face. I had no idea how long I was there, and none of my friends knew either lol. I finally got to the couch and just chilled there smoking for the rest of the night. Woke up early in the morning to go home, still BEYOND baked. My 1 minute walk back home felt like a voyage through the asteroid belt.

Moral of this story: Steam rollers. nuff said.

I think the biggest difference is people who smoke to relax and aren't trying to be cool for smoking are generally the successful smokers. On the other hand if someone is just going around trying to impress all their friends and smoke just to fit in are probably gonna crash even more hard then they would have before. People who would have been unsuccessful probably were going to be unproductive and lazy to a certain extent regardless of if you were a smoker or not.

Most people know by now I smoke occasionally but I don't go around bragging about it or let it take control of my life. I usually will if I get off of a long shift at work if I have a job, when I am finished with homework. The most common reason is after I work out. I get a heavy workout on and I usually can't eat enough to get the full benefits and get bigger, when I smoke I can eat healthier foods more easily and get proper nutrition.

And my biggest opinion is that **** THE FEDERAL SYSTEM with all their bullshit they brought on to people. Nobody should face jail time and felonys for having a few bags even with a good explanation. It puts too much power into their hands and they are already making so much money off all the fines and money they take out of marijuana busts. If you get caught in most places you will get a fat fine as well. WTF why should we be fined for having a substance that is much safer then alcohol and cigarettes and one that usually causes more companionship and peace then even most PRESCRIPTION drugs

I don't know how to explain what I was trying to say so I'll just say that sure there's such a thing as "too high" but it all depends on your tolerance level really.
I mean one time I was so ****ing high that I was sitting in a chair for 2 hours and the only thing I remember is that I was tripping hard as **** and that the only thing I could do was sit there and focus on making this noise and closing my eyes as hard as possible but the thing is my whole body felt it and it was like my eyes were fighting to open themselves but they were fighting to stay closed as well. Every time my eyes closed more I could feel my whole body get kind of numb, but every time they opened my body would relax and feel better.
Was the hardest trip I'd ever had on just weed man. I mean shrooms and other stuff are a different story so I'll save that for later.
tl;dr yes you can get too high (but I doubt most people will do it I mean shit look at wiz and snoop they do nothing but smoke pretty much and they can still control themselves)

From smoking pot, I don't think there is a 'too high' at all. I do believe there is for brownies and other edibles though, THC pills and so on. It kind of pisses me off when people always assume people who smoke are lazy though. That's just a stereotype much like racial issues.

Just playing devil's advocate for middie:
-the money you spend on weed could be spent on other things
-weed smokers usually inhale more deeply and hold their breath longer than tobacco users, which increases the exposure to the carcinogenic smoke
-smoking weed leads to irregular growth of epithelial cells in lung tissue
-studies show that typically smokers of weed typically miss more work days compared to non-workers
-true there isn't any solid evidence that weed causes lung cancer, but there isn't any solid evidence that proves is doesn't cause cancer either, mostly due to the fact that legality issues make it hard to conduct research.
-smoking weed is associated with several mental illnesses such as depression and schizophrenia
-the obvious side effects while being high
-weed (supposedly, I'm not talking from experience) impairs your judgement while high, I've heard stories of people not being able to drive properly while baked, resulting in a car crash, haven't seen that happen with cigs.

To be honest though, I try not to judge people based on if they smoke or not, it's a personal choice so I don't really give a damn if you smoke or not, as long as you respect my decision not to smoke it. I know there have been a few studies that have disproved some of the harmful effects of weed, and I know of some studies that disproved those studies, and I honestly don't know what to believe; I'd just rather not take any risks. As for cigs, I don't smoke them either, I just don't like the idea of smoke in my lungs in general. As to which one is less harmful, I'd say weed appears less harmful based off previous research I've done, but I'd rather just not take my risk with either. I will admit I've had a few share of drinks (alcohol) in my time, but usually only for the taste (which explains why I never drink beer, that shit just tastes nasty imo) and the social aspect of it; I try to make sure I don't drink enough to get drunk. Anyways, moderation is key, so yes, you can get too high (I've heard of some people blacking out from being too high), so if you're gonna smoke, just use your better judgement to make sure you don't smoke stupidly ridiculous amounts.

(This post took about an hour to write while multi-tasking with other things, so I know this is gonna be ninja'd like fuq, lulz)
