College Football 2008
ITT, we discuss college football for this season. Who's your team? How do you think your team's season will go? What are your projections for this season? I'd like to get it all in this thread, as opposed to making countless threads every weekend like I saw for every profootball game ever.
The Preseason poll has been out for a few days now. I'd like to see what some you guys think about how the poll looks. 1. Georgia (22) 0-0 1,438 2. USC (14) 0-0 1,430 3. Ohio State (14) 0-0 1,392 4. Oklahoma (3) 0-0 1,329 5. Florida (5) 0-0 1,293 6. LSU (3) 0-0 1,163 7. Missouri 0-0 1,143 8. West Virginia 0-0 1,008 9. Clemson 0-0 999 10. Texas 0-0 979 11. Auburn 0-0 888 12. Wisconsin 0-0 747 13. Kansas 0-0 714 14. Texas Tech 0-0 644 15. Virginia Tech 0-0 568 16. Arizona State 0-0 560 17. Brigham Young 0-0 547 18. Tennessee 0-0 506 19. Illinois 0-0 422 20. Oregon 0-0 399 21. South Florida 0-0 350 22. Penn State 0-0 313 23. Wake Forest 0-0 203 24. Michigan 0-0 112 25. Fresno State 0-0 91 Some people have said that the preseason polls don't matter, but they really do.... I like Georgia on top, but they won't stay there. Florida will probably beat them, but if they don't, UGA has a brutal schedule... they're bound to lose. And this year, I think whoever wins the OSU-USC game will be in the National Title game, because that team probably won't lose another game.... I'm liking USC in that game... Same goes for LSU-UF.... FSU is my team, and I really think they're going to be surprising a lot of people this year. If Weatherford can step up and play the he did on his 200-some odd streak of no INT's, FSU will be cruising. Discuss. |

Re: College Football 2008
I'm a razorback fan, but they won't do jack squat this year.
You want the pick though? Mizzou will take it this year. 2 Heisman threats on just the offensive side of the ball, and Chase Daniel is an amazing QB. They can overcome Oklahoma and Kansas, and they are their biggest challenges. Though that Mizzou and OK game will be amazing.(this is of course assuming they play Oklahoma in the Big 12 championship) Other than that, yeah, USC. Let's go with them. They are usually in the mix somehow.

Re: College Football 2008
Kansas rofl. I never bought in to them. Last year, they had one of the weakest schedules in the nation, it's not a surprise to me they went undefeated as long as they did. They didn't play oklahoma, texas, texas tech... best team they played was Mizzou, and they lost that game :/.
And I completely forgot.... West Virginia has a good chance at getting in too, I doubt they'll lose at all this year. They do play auburn though... that should be interesting. |
