Lightbulb Cool findings and rules of thumb i found

First post i think
I'm a really mathematical person, and so its hard to resist taking the game apart, and here are some things ive found

Whether a level is too easy or hard can be found by your perfect/amazing count
If there is more perfects, its usually too hard
If there are more amazings, its usually too easy
If they are balanced or there are slightly more amazings its just right.

Speaking of difficulty, i think playing somewhere in between just right and hard is best for me :3

Also, i was messing around and i found that the grandtotal to the power of about .04 would be about the same as your preferred speed.
At the time of writing my total is 1,719,832,770
^.037 =2.1964
^.039 =2.2918
^.04 = 2.3411
^.041 = 2.3914
^.043 = 2.4953
I play at 2.3, and have been learning 2.35
Alternative (more accurate) Method :Use (total^0.0375)*(1.02^(Sqrt(years registered)+1) for better accuracy, as playing a lot in a little time is not as good as a lot over a longer time.
this makes it about 2.32.
Finally i've found that playing a certain song once, than waiting at least 30 minutes to play it again, can make the whole process of getting that darn (fc,aaa, blackflag) much easier.

Hi, welcome to the forums.

Although I respect people with love for mathematics, most of what you said is invalidated by the fact that your dataset is only yourself lmao.

I hope you think about it more; maybe you should take a stats class and study what defines a correlation between different parameters.

If you are getting a similar amount of perfects and amazings on any chart then something is very wrong. It's either far too hard for you or you're just hitting very early/late

I can't exactly deny the theory actually which I think is funny because 2.8 speedmod is by no mean a bad speedmod.

I don't think that starting at a speedmod of 0^0.04 = 0 will be very helpful for progressing in the game : P

i get a 8:10 marvelous to perfect ratio every song

i can see that being correct for lower level players though

just because someone doesn't have data to show why it works doesn't make it an invalid point

if you haven't disproved it it could be true

Actually, absence of evidence would be precisely why a point is invalidated. Perhaps more accurate than invalidated would be to say unsubstantiated.

Your second point is a common argument used by theists when discussing the existence of God. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Russell%27s_teapot

i said it could be true, not that it is true

i just don't think it's fair to say that it's not true or to not take it seriously when you haven't disproved it

*edit* i meant you as in people in general, not a specific person by the way

You must take my claim that I am an orange homosexual Arctic octopus (who can shapeshift, ninja) seriously because you have not disproved it.
