Removed because rules are rules, no matter how bendable, and believe me, this rule has been bent [okay, how about, say, 940?] degrees. If you really want to watch the movie, basic internet knowledge will lead you to it.
I have to agree with this. Come on, if you had wanted to see it you would have gotten it months ago another way. There was about 4-5 different ways of getting it.
I don't care what anyone says, I liked it. I've never seen the Japanese version, I probably will soon, but this version is just.. good. The fight scenes were awesome, and I think that's a universal language that everyone can understand.
FFR - 3 years holy ****. (For real, check when I registered. :P)
I just rented the English version and it was so good, since i love all of Final Fantasy games, it's pretty cool to see a movie finally coming out of all of them.
I liked when Tifa was beating up on that one guy (Kazu was it?). Tifa kicks major ass. I thought the voices were annoying (especially Yuffie and Cid... ick). I think the story was there to justify the wonderful fight scenes they decided to throw in.
O_o
pyro31191: TELL EVERYONE YOU WANT TO TAKE IT IN THE ASS NOW
pyro31191: rofl
pyro31191: You should tell them earlier though
pyro31191: so they can buy dildos instead of fleshlights
Lol. I found the video. AND I have beaten the game around 4 or 5 times. I will have to check my memory card. I am going to let the video buffer all night and I will watch and download it. I haven't seen it yet except in japanese. And the japanese version I saw was low quality and they all had horrible voices that were like an octave to high....
If you've played FFVII and understood it then the story in the movie is very coherent and important.
Everyone says the story was dumb. It really isn't you just don't understand it. Probably because you didn't play the game.
The plot is garbage. I've beaten FF7 3 or 4 times. Almost none of it has to do with what actually happened in FF7 - it's just random **** for no reason to set up fight scenes. Nothing involving Sephiroth makes sense. The geostigma **** is random as hell too, and never explained.
And the reason it doesn't make sense is simple: They don't explain anything. Instead of following a general tradition of good filmmaking, telling the viewer what the hell is going on, Square-Enix opted instead to fill the movie with battle scenes that get old fast.
Not to mention the totally random retconning. Sup Rufus (even though you died in FF7 and it's stated in the game that you did).
FF7's plot isn't anything to write home about, either. It suffers from a lot of the problems that AC does; i.e., a lot of stuff is never explained, stuff is thrown in for no reason to make it more exciting, etc. However, it also has a horrible translation, which renders a lot of things nigh-incomprehensible. AC, at least, doesn't have that working against it.
So yeah. They both suck, and neither one will help you understand the other.
