So you're saying that if one person is playing day and night on a machine in his basement (I knew a guy that had two), it's not dead? It's dead when there's a few dedicated people left playing it in very sparsely located machines.

DDR is not dead yet, but it will be soon enough. It has nothing going for it anymore. I still play it, but not as often as I used to. I'd say DDR is dying, but ITG is still strong (at least for now), because it's newer and it has more to offer. If Konami hasn't put out any machines for years now, I doubt they will. My prediction is that within two years, DDR will be hard to find and you will find very few people who still play it.

DONT CARE my point is this- it doesnt matter obviously U understood what I said and 2nd of all DDR is not dead just because a few people have done evrything like I said more and more people try it for the first time each day.

The only dance-simulation game that is even worth playing at this point is Pump It Up, which corrects all of the flaws of DDR and ITG and adds its own unique spin on things. Konami couldn't care less about DDR, at least in Japan, and ITG is a huge joke. PIU is actually fun to play, has good music, and doesn't get old.

IIDX/Pop'n/Gitadora are the games that will stick around. 4-panel dancing games are dead - the industry is stagnated; nothing more can be done than making retarded keyboard files to play on pad, like ITG. PIU is still evolving, however. The only hope for a new dancing game at this point is a new layout that doesn't suck (NeonFM is an excellent example of a horrendous layout) with songs that can outshine PIU's (DTX and NeonFM are examples of games with UTTER garbage for soundtracks - ITG isn't much better).

DDR definitly is not dead in the Mid-West area. I'm from missouri and everytime I go to any arcade there will be huge groups of people playing, watching, and etc. I personally have 10-20 friends that all play. We even have local tournaments in most cities, nothing big, just seeing who is the best. ITG is a little better even though MAX songs rule. PIU is better than both due to the fact it is harder and more fun. If they could only take the best of the best of all DDR songs and put them on one game.... that doesn't matter. all that does is DDR aint dead
